Description: This course provides entry-level and upgrade training in agriculture mechanics. Employment possibilities include welder, construction worker and farm power machinery and equipment mechanic. Instruction covers the following areas: construction, farm power machinery equipment operation and repair, and welding. Students use equipment which includes welding equipment, wood shop equipment, tractors and mechanic's tools. Approximately 695 hours are required for course completion, although completion depends upon the student's entry-level skills and rate of progress in the class.
Notes: This course meets Mountain Empire's Practical Arts elective requirement for graduation.
Course Length: 2 semesters, approximately 180 hours.
Credits: 5 per semester.
