The National Council for Teachers of Mathematics has been working on improving math instruction for many years. The organization has produced Principles and Standards for School Mathematics. It explains the strands and how should be incorporated into the K-12 circurulum. This site is great for any parent who wants to make sure that his or her student is learning the math skills they will need to compete in a global economy.
