Quizzes - 10%
Quizzes are usually announced but not always. There is no make-up on quizzes except for quizzes missed due to absences. 2 quizzes will be dropped each semester.
Presentations - 10%
Students will be asked to present homework problems to the class several times during the year. There are two kinds of presentations: Summary and Demonstration.
- The problem is already copied or summarized.
- The work to support the problem is already written.
- The correct answer has been determined.
- The work is readable from the back of the class
- The explanation of the problem is clear.
Demonstration
- The problem is already copied or summarized.
- The work to support the problem will be demonstrated.
- The correct answer will be determined.
- The work continues to be readable from the back of the class
- The explanation of the problem is clear.
Final – 10%
A practice final is given about 1 week before the test is given. The final for Algebra 2 cannot be exempted.
Progress Reports
Students may bring around progress monitors Thursdays. The school will mail home several reports throughout the year. With the creation of this web site, the most recent grades will be posted by student code.
