Algebra 1 ~ Topics
The state of California has specific standards that must be taught in Algebra 1. These standards are tested by the state on the STAR test given the beginning of May. The key standards (indicated by a * are the focus of the benchmark tests)
Fall Semester
- review: integers, order of operations, combining like terms, properties, functions and graphs, translating English expression into math (symbolic) expressions
- number sets, operations on rational numbers, square roots
- solving linear equations, solving ratios and proportions, percent change, using formulas
